Peter is a potter and visual artist who trained in Ceramics and 3D in the mid-1980s at Camberwell School of Art. He later completed an MA in Fine Art at Cardiff Metropolitan University in the mid-1990s.

Peter lives near Cardigan and runs St Dogmaels Pottery in West Wales. He is also an experienced educator and has worked with a number of universities across the UK. His ceramic practice is informed by the coastal landscape: walking the shoreline, swimming, gathering objects and materials, and studying intertidal ecology and geology. The images, motifs and gestural marks brushed or drawn into the surface of both his functional pots and sculptural vessels reflect these encounters, serving as traces of his phenomenological experience

Crochenydd ac artist gweledol yw Peter Bodenham. Cafodd ei hyfforddi mewn Cerameg a 3D yn Ysgol Gelf Camberwell yng nghanol y 1980au . Yn ddiweddarach, yng nghanol y 1990au, cwblhaodd MA mewn Celf Gain ym Mhrifysgol Metropolitan Caerdydd.

Mae Peter yn byw ger Aberteifi ac yn cynnal Crochenwaith Llandudoch. Mae hefyd yn addysgwr profiadol ac wedi gweithio gyda nifer o brifysgolion ledled y DG. Mae ei ymarfer cerameg yn cael ei lywio gan y dirwedd arfordirol: cerdded ar hyd y glannau, nofio, casglu gwrthrychau a defnyddiau, ac astudio ecoleg a daeareg rhynglanwol. Mae’r delweddau, y motiffau a’r marciau amneidiol wedi’u brwsio neu dynnu ar arwyneb ei grochenwaith ffwythiannol a’i lestri cerfluniol yn adlewyrchu’r cyfarfyddiadau hyn, gan weithredu fel olion o’i brofiad ffenomenolegol.
