Verity is a glass artist living and working in rural North Wales. Verity uses a wide range of processes to create her work, combining kiln‑forming, architectural and casting techniques in unique ways to produce vessels, sculpture, installations, and both architectural and public art.

Her work is inspired by organic structures, particularly the small details: the shapes and textures of algae, fungi, lichen, moss, and ferns. Verity is also fascinated by the cataloguing of nature - natural history artefacts, early cyanotypes, x‑rays, microscopic images of the human body, and botanical drawings.

The qualities of glass inspire Verity constantly: its fragility and strength; its transparency and opacity; its ability to build layers; and its depth, pattern, and texture. She is continually drawn to how glass can transmit, reflect, and channel light.

Artist gwydr yw Verity sy’n byw ac yn gweithio yng ngogledd Cymru wledig. Mae Verity yn defnyddio ystod o brosesau i greu ei gwaith, gan gyfuno ffurfio mewn odyn, technegau pensaernïol a chastio mewn ffyrdd unigryw i gynhyrchu llestri, cerfluniau, gosodweithiau, a chelfyddyd bensaernïol a chyhoeddus hefyd.

Caiff ei gwaith ei ysbrydoli gan strwythurau organig, yn enwedig y manylion bach: siapiau a gweadeddau algâu, ffyngau, mwsogl a rhedyn. Mae Verity hefyd yn ymddiddori’n fawr mewn catalogio natur – arteffactau byd natur, cyanodeipiau cynnar, pelydrau-x, delweddau microsgopig o’r corff dynol, a darluniau botanegol.

Mae nodweddion gwydr yn ysbrydoli Verity’n barhaus: ei freuder a’i gryfder, ei dryloywder a’i anhryloywder; ei allu i adeiladu haenau; a’i ddyfnder, patrwm, a gweadedd. Caiff ei denu’n barhaol at y modd mae gwydr yn gallu trosglwyddo, adlewyrchu, a sianelu golau.
