Catherine and Matt West work collaboratively as Pottery West, a Yorkshire-based ceramics studio producing wheel-thrown stoneware. Drawing on backgrounds in design and architecture, their work combines quiet precision with the expressive qualities of the handmade. Faceted forms, layered glazes and carefully controlled firing processes bring depth, texture and narrative to each piece. Calm and confident in character, their pots celebrate detail, function and the poetry of making.

Mae Catherine a Matt West yn gweithio ar y cyd fel Pottery West, stiwdio serameg yn Swydd Efrog sy'n creu nwyddau crochenwaith caled (stoneware) ar yr olwyn. Gan dynnu ar eu cefndiroedd ym meysydd dylunio a phensaernïaeth, mae eu gwaith yn cyfuno manwl-gywirdeb tawel â rhinweddau mynegiannol crefftwaith llaw. Mae ffurfiau ag arwynebau amlochrog, haenau o wydredd a phrosesau tanio sydd wedi'u rheoli'n ofalus yn rhoi dyfnder, gwead a naratif i bob darn. Gyda chymeriad tawel a hyderus, mae eu crochenwaith yn dathlu manylion, swyddogaeth a barddoniaeth y broses o greu.
