Ceramic jug from the Merched ar Lestri collection. Merched ar Lestri showcases the artistic collaboration between Ceramic Artist Lowri Davies and Poet Elinor Gwynn. It celebrates the lives of seven women, all with a profound connection to Wales and from various regions, ages, and backgrounds across our country.

The collection is a reflection of the women represented: the choice of colour palettes and patterns portray  the emotions and personality of each subject. Lowri’s attention to detail ensures that the composition sings. Each ceramic decal is carefully considered and layered. Illustrations flow seamlessly from one piece to another, creating a cohesive narrative that celebrates each woman’s individuality.

Mae’n dathlu bywydau saith o fenywod, pob un â chysylltiad dwfn â Chymru ac o amrywiol ranbarthau, oedrannau a chefndiroedd ar draws ein gwlad.

Mae'r casgliad yn adlewyrchiad o'r merched a gynrychiolir: mae'r dewis o baletau lliw a phatrymau yn portreadu emosiynau a phersonoliaeth pob pwnc. Mae sylw Lowri i fanylion yn sicrhau bod y cyfansoddiad yn canu. Mae pob decal ceramig yn cael ei ystyried yn ofalus a'i haenu. Mae darluniau’n llifo’n ddi-dor o un darn i’r llall, gan greu naratif cydlynol sy’n dathlu unigoliaeth pob merch.
