Applied Art at Glyndŵr University focuses on the high-quality craft skills needed to be a professional maker. Students are encouraged to develop their material and design skills through ceramics, metal, jewellery and mixed media. They aim to be able to understand the importance of making, originality and how to generate personal responses to materials and processes. Alongside this they develop creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial skills and are able to combine their conceptual and technical skills in applied arts with the professional skills needed to be a successful maker.

Mae cwrs Celfyddydau Cymhwysol Prifysgol Glyndŵr yn canolbwyntio ar y sgiliau crefft o ansawdd uchel sydd eu hangen i fod yn wneuthurwr proffesiynol. Anogir y myfyrwyr i ddatblygu eu sgiliau dylunio a thrin defnyddiau drwy cerameg, metel, gemwaith a chyfrwng cymysg. Anelir at allu deall pwysigrwydd creu, gwreiddioldeb a sut i gynhyrchu ymatebion personol i ddefnyddiau a phrosesau. Ochr yn ochr â hyn maen nhw’n datblygu creadigrwydd, arloesedd a sgiliau enrepreneuraidd ac yn gallu cyfuno eu sgiliau cysyniadol a thechnegol yn y celfyddydau cymhwysol gyda’r sgiliau proffesiynol sy’n angenrheidiol er mwyn bod yn wneuthurwr llwyddiannus.
