‘Justine Allison’s ceramics are skilfully made, precious to touch and a delight to the eye’. Professor Moira Vincentelli

Justine has her own language of clay. Balanced between functional and sculptural, her ceramic practice is rich and original. With a profound understanding of her materials and a honed visual aesthetic, Justine’s vessels are resolved. It is such a pleasure to have this solo show by Justine as the opening exhibition in the second series of The Language of Clay. It expands the dialogue presented through the first series and celebrates singular expertise. Ceri Jones, Exhibition Curator

The Language of Clay is a series of national touring exhibitions organised by Mission Gallery in collaboration with Ruthin Craft Centre, funded by ACW.

‘Mae seramegau Justine Allison wedi’u gwneud yn gelfydd, maen nhw’n ddrudfawr i’w cyffwrdd ac yn hyfrydwch i’r llygad’. Yr Athro Moira Vincentelli

Mae Justine â’i hiaith clai ei hun. Yn cydbwyso rhwng ymarferol a cherfluniol mae ei harfer serameg yn gyfoethog ac yn wreiddiol. Gyda dealltwriaeth ddwys o’i defnyddiau ac estheteg weledol wedi’i fireinio, y ffurfir llestri Justine. Mae’n gymaint o bleser cael y sioe solo yma gan Justine yn arddangosfa agoriadol ail gyfres Iaith Clai. Mae’n ehangu’r ddeialog a gyflwynwyd drwy’r gyfres gyntaf ac yn dathlu arbenigedd hynod. Ceri Jones, Curadur yr Arddangosfa

Cyfres o arddangosfeydd cenedlaethol teithiol yw Iaith Clai, wedi’u trefnu gan y Mission Gallery mewn cydweithrediad â Chanolfan Grefft Rhuthun a’u hariannu gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru.
