I make a range of functional earthenware pottery. Inspired by, but not bound to, traditional English and European slipware. Pots intended to be used and enjoyed.

Predominantly hand thrown and also using slab and mold techniques. I like to leave marks which highlight the qualities of the clay in its soft / wet state and to capture moments of the process.

I studied at U.W.E. Bristol 1995–98. I then worked for a short time at Gladstone Pottery Museum before finding work as a production thrower in Bristol. Only since moving to Wales in 2015 have I started to develop my own work.

Rwy’n creu ystod o lestri pridd at ddefnydd. Cânt eu hysbrydoli gan grochenwaith slip Lloegr ac Ewrop ond nid ydyn nhw’n gaeth i’r traddodiad hwnnw. Llestri i’w defnyddio a’u mwynhau ydyn nhw.

Maen nhw wedi’u taflu â llaw yn bennaf a hefyd yn defnyddio technegau slab a mowldio. Rwy’n hoffi gadael marciau sy’n amlygu priodweddau’r clai yn ei gyflwr meddal / gwlyb a dal enydau o’r broses.

Astudiais ym Mhrifysgol Gorllewin Lloegr, Bryste 1995–98. Yna bûm yn gweithio am gyfnod byr yn y Gladstone Pottery Museum cyn dod o hyd i waith fel taflwr cynhyrchiad ym Mryste. Dim ond ers i mi symud i Gymru yn 2015 rwyf wedi dechrau datblygu fy ngwaith fy hun.
