Join Darren Ball in a special workshop designed to accompany his show at Ruthin Craft Centre. Create embroideries inspired by your choice of figure.

Use Darren’s technique of appliqué and free machine embroidery to create beautiful textile artworks. Bring along an image of a figure that you would like to use and photocopy it to A4 (black and white is fine). You will trace the image to simplify it and use fabrics to create the colour and texture. Bring your own fabrics and coloured threads if you wish to make it really personal.

Your figures could be taken from family photos, celebrities or old illustrations etc.

Do bring your own machine if you have one. There are machines to borrow if not.

Ymunwch â Darren Ball mewn gweithdy arbennig wedi'i gynllunio i gyd fynd gyda’i sioe yng Nghanolfan Grefft Rhuthun. Creu brodwaith wedi'i ysbrydoli gan y ffigur o'ch dewis.

Defnyddiwch dechneg Darren o applíque a brodwaith peiriant rhydd i greu gweithiau celf tecstil hardd. Dewch â delwedd o'r ffigur yr hoffech ei ddefnyddio a ffotogopiwch i A4 (du a gwyn yn iawn). Byddwch yn ymlinellu’r delwedd i'w symleiddio a defnyddio ffabrigau i greu'r lliw a'r gwead. Dewch â'ch ffabrigau eich hun ac edafedd lliwgar os hoffech wneud y gwaith yn bersonol iawn.

Gall eich ffigurau ddod o luniau teulu, pobl enwog neu hen ddarluniau ac ati.

Dewch â'ch peiriant eich hun os oes un gennych. Mae peiriannau i'w benthyg os nad oes.
