Join exhibiting artist Zoë Carlon to explore oil monotype printing in this one-day course.

This workshop is perfect for complete beginners or those who wish to refresh their previous skills in monotype printing. We will be working with oil paint and medium to create individual ‘paintings’ on metal plates that will then be put through the printing press to reveal individual monotype prints. Together, we will look at a variety of artists and inspiration to broaden our understanding of the printing process. Through a playful approach we will experiment with oil paint to explore colour, textures and mark making to create individual compositions. You will explore this new process and end the day with your own collection of monotype prints to take away.

This course is suitable for adults who are complete beginners or those who wish to refresh their previous skills in monotype printmaking. You don’t need to feel confident with oil paint as you will be guided through using it and all processes on this course lend themselves to colour, texture, shape and mark making exploration.

Ymunwch â'r artist arddangos Zoë Carlon i archwilio argraffu monoteip olew yn y cwrs undydd hwn.

Mae'r gweithdy hwn yn berffaith ar gyfer dechreuwyr llwyr neu'r rhai sydd am adnewyddu eu sgiliau blaenorol mewn argraffu monoteip. Byddwn yn gweithio gyda phaent olew a chyfrwng i greu 'peintiadau' unigol ar blatiau metel a fydd wedyn yn cael eu rhoi trwy'r wasg argraffu i ddatgelu printiau monoteip unigol. Gyda'n gilydd, byddwn yn edrych ar amrywiaeth o artistiaid ac ysbrydoliaeth i ehangu ein dealltwriaeth o'r broses argraffu. Trwy ddull chwareus byddwn yn arbrofi gyda phaent olew i archwilio lliw, gweadau a gwneud marciau i greu cyfansoddiadau unigol. Byddwch yn archwilio'r broses newydd hon ac yn gorffen y diwrnod gyda'ch casgliad eich hun o brintiau monoteip i'w cymryd adref.

Mae'r cwrs hwn yn addas ar gyfer oedolion sy'n ddechreuwyr llwyr neu'r rhai sydd am adnewyddu eu sgiliau blaenorol mewn gwneud printiau monoteip. Nid oes angen i chi deimlo'n hyderus gyda phaent olew gan y byddwch yn cael eich tywys trwy ei ddefnyddio ac mae pob proses ar y cwrs hwn yn benthyg eu hunain i archwilio lliw, gwead, siâp a gwneud marciau.
