Join ceramic sculptor Halima Cassell in the Education Room for a live demonstration of her extraordinary carving process. This unique session offers an opportunity to see the artist at work and gain an insight into the processes behind her solo exhibition, Carved, in Gallery 1.

Halima creates bold ceramic sculptures using geometric forms, repeated patterns and strong architectural shapes. Her work often explores rhythm, structure and movement through carefully carved lines, angles and surfaces.

During the demonstration, Halima will share how different materials influence what is possible, setting both opportunities and limitations. She allows the work to develop as the creative process unfolds, shaping each piece through a balance of control, response and discovery.

Mae Halima’n creu cerfluniau cerameg eofn gan ddefnyddio ffurfiau geometrig, patrymau ailadroddol, a siapiau pensaernïol cadarn. Mae ei gwaith yn aml yn archwilio rhythm, strwythur a symudiad drwy linellau, onglau ac arwynebau wedi’u cerfio’n ofalus.

Yn ystod y cyflwyniad bydd Halima’n rhannu sut mae gwahanol ddeunyddiau yn dylanwadu ar yr hyn sy’n bosibl, gan gynnig cyfleoedd a gosod cyfyngiadau. Mae hi’n caniatáu i’r gwaith ddatblygu wrth i’r broses greadigol fynd rhagddi, gan siapio pob darn drwy gydbwysedd rheolaeth, ymateb a darganfyddiad.
