Slip… looks at the diverse styles of makers whose work falls under the banner of ‘slipware’. This technique is deep rooted within ancient methods of ceramic decoration for example Thomas Toft in the 17th century. Through their skilled use of clays and slips these 21st century artists present a thought-provoking and innovative collection of decorative ceramics. From traditional approaches to the most modern interpretations, Slip… promises to inform and excite.

Mae Slip… yn edrych ar amrywiol ddulliau gwneuthurwyr y mae eu gwaith yn cael ei ddisgrifio fel ‘gwaith slip’. Y mae’r dechneg hon wedi’i gwreiddio’n ddwfn mewn dulliau hynafol o addurno serameg, er enghraifft Thomas Toft yn y 17eg ganrif. Drwy eu defnydd dawnus o glai a slipiau, y mae’r artistiaid hyn o’r 21ain ganrif yn arddangos casgliad meddylgar ac arloesol o serameg addurnol.
